After reading this blog you will not just imagine but you will have. You could be down at your bank cashing a check for $3,000 $5,000, $10,000 â€" or even more â€" in 28 DAYS or LESS! Picture yourself standing at the teller’s window, handing her the check, and getting all those $100 bills counted out right into your hand. Feels good, doesn’t it?

How much does Google AdSense pay for putting up their ads?

Hi, folks. My small company has a website where we'd like to put up Google AdSense ads. Would anyone know how much they pay per impression? (We don't care about per click rate yet.) Our website will target the 17-25 age group. I simply cannot find such information. Thanks in advance!

You won't find any info because Google does not disclose it

CPM ads are only shown if the advertiser specifically chooses your site to advertise. That means they must have heard about your site, seen your site or like what they see in your site.

You must also make sure that you specify that your ad channels are targetable.

It is really hard to predict how much you will get paid with Adsense. One website with 10,000 uniques a day can earn $50 a month while another may earn $5,000. It is not easy to predict how much you will earn from Adsense.

The only way you can learn about how your site will perform with Adsense is through trying it.

Google really is not the one who decides how much they want to pay. It's the advertisers who sign up on Google Adsense. Adsense is just the middleman of Advertisers, and Publisher, which is you. Most of the time, advertisers pay per click, it's with them if they want to pay the impression. It really depends on what keywords your website has. Some of the click can worth just $0.10 cents and some would cost as much as $3. It really depends on the advertiser. I rarely got payment for just impression alone.

Yes Google has many different methods in detemining how much you will earn with Adsense. One of them includes smart pricing, read about it here http://adsense.blogspot.com/2005/10/facts-about-smart-pricing.html.

In general I have found success with Adsense happens when you have a sticky site people flock to primary purpose (not Adsense). It's free why not give it a whirl for a while. If you don't like it...remove it :-)

Basically adsense pay per click. Yes, they do pay for impression but the amount is very less (approximate 1~2cents per 1000 impression). If you looking for pay per impression, i suggest you go to adbrite

well I know they they pay very little.

you may want to try Yahoos version which pays more or adbrite's

How many clicks do you need to earn money on Adsense?

Ok, so I have just started using Adsense on google and so far I've got 28 clicks but no earnings. How many clicks do I need to earn money?

Every click is supposed to earn you money.

But since you have several clicks already and still no money, it can be a case of:

- delayed reporting (but it will catch up at the end of the day

- Google is holding your income as they are reviewing the validity of the clicks

- Google has found fraudulent clicks: you clicked on the ads, or asked visitors and friends to click on ads, or there's something in your site that violates in Program Policies

As long as you don't click on your ads, don't worry about the revenues as it will come if the clicks are valid

You are probably clicking on them yourself.

Have you heard of Analytics? it's a tool Google made to help you find where visits from your website are coming from, to the city level. What browsers those people use, resolution screen, how long they stayed on the site, where they clicked, their operating system how far down the directory structure they went, you think they wouldn't know who clicks the ads?

How many visitors would a site need to earn 4,000 dollars a month with adsense?

I know it is difficult to answer, but a ballpark figure is all I am looking for. I have an educational webpage with teacher resources and am thinking of signing up for adsense.

You don't need multiple websites to earn $4,000 a month with Adsense. For a long time, I earned more than $4000 with only one website. It all depends how well your website fits with Adsense

In terms of earning money on Adsense, your mileage varies. One website with the 10,000 uniques a day can earn $50 a month while another may earn $5,000. It is not easy to predict how much you will earn from Adsense. The only way you can learn about how your site will perform with Adsense is through trying it.

The amount you can earn will depend on the

1. Responsiveness of audience to the ads = A travel website that provides information on travel to Spain will attract visitors looking for ways to arrange their travel and spend money on their vacation to Spain. Your site provides the info, but the ads will provide hotels, travel agencies, tourist destinations, car rentals -- ads that are likely to get the attention of the users of your site. This is a site that will most likely do well with Adsense. However, if you are a gaming website where the main purpose of the user is to play games on your site, then Adsense will not perform as well.

2. Ad format = some types of ads do better than others depending on your content and layout. In our case, large rectangles in the middle of the content is the best, while leaderboards do not generate as much as income. Skys are the worst for us. Experiment and measure the results via channels and see which formats work best for you.

3. Ad placement - check Google's heat map as they have tested where the best placements are https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=17954&ctx=en:search&query=adsense+heat+map&topic=0&type=f

4. Ad colors - sometimes ads blended into the content works wonders, but sometimes ads that contrast your site colors work best

5. Number of ad units on a page = we are allowed maximum of 3 ads + 1 ad links + 1 search box on a page. Maximize the allowed number based on the resulting look of your page (you don't want an overkill of ads). Users going to your page and reading your content may ignore the banner or rectangle at the top of the page, but may click on the ad at the bottom of the article

6. Smartpricing - the big unknown in Adsense. No one knows how this actually works. But it can affect the pricing of the ads on your site. If the advertiser paid for $0.50/click - but your site is smartpriced - then the cost may be discounted lower (e.g. $0.25). So you may try to develop a site based on high paying keywords but if smartpricing gets to you, then you may not get as much per click as what you are expecting from your keywords.

Here is Google's explanation of smart pricing https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=9562&query=smart+pricing&topic=0&type=f

Google's smart pricing feature automatically adjusts the cost of a keyword-targeted content click based on its effectiveness compared to a search click. So if our data shows that a click from a content page is less likely to turn into actionable business results -- such as online sales, registrations, phone calls, or newsletter signups -- we reduce the price you pay for that click.

Experiment with the factors above (except smartpricing, which you can't control), and see which combination works best. Remember though that not all sites do well with Adsense - even if you get gazillions of traffic but your visitors are not interested in looking for ways to spend their money, they won't be interested in your ads and won't click.

Most of my sites earn around $10 per 1000. That would take 400,000. Of course I have sites and blogs that earn much more and much less. It really depends on how well your content matches up with advertisers and their products, and how well it matches with your readers. You need readers that will click combined with relevant offers that make enough money to encourage advertisers to pay a high price per click.

I honestly think you answered it with your first sentence: it is very difficult to answer. I have sites that get 5-10 unique visits a day that make more money than sites with 10,000- because of the specific niche and its relation to offers.

Well it depends on a whole host of factors, but generally the average Click Through Rate of an adsense ad is 3% - 5%

Since your niche is education, it may be rather profitable. This is because there are a lot of advertisers paying big money to get student loan and college tuition leads. I would say the average earnings per click you will receive will be around 15-20 cents.

So to earn 4k a month on adsense (which is quite a bit a money from adsense) it would take ~22k adsense clicks a month or 740 a day.

So it would take about 500k visitors a month. Or about 16k a day.

Now, there will be many factors that change these numbers such as a site layout which encourages a higher click-through rate and a higher or lower earnings per adsense click, but that should give you a general idea.

If I were you, I would research alternatives to adsense. I highly recommend starting here:

http://www.shoemoney.com/2008/11/13/beyond-adsense-website-magazine/

I think JustinM gave a very good answer.

You would need multiple websites all having a lot of web traffic to generate $4k a month. Or, a few super-sites that have many thousands of visitors a day with hundreds clicking.

On top of that, you would be under the scrutiny of Google and if they suspected even a hint of click fraud, they will drop you like a hot potatoe and you'll never see your check.

Good Luck!

Increase your visitor and click on your Adsense.. That is true, click rate each ads is 3%-5%..

Its not impossible but needs a lot of hard works. You need a lot of traffics. I would suggest you add affiliates, sell advertisement and other programs to increase your earning

Would adsense work for a non technical subject matter blog?

I want to start a newsblog, I won't say what it is going to contain exactly at this point :-) but if for example it was a blog about horses, would adsense be a viable way of earning a small income from it, or would the blog have to be on a subject like ipods or mobile phones for adsense to work?

Thanks all.

Adsense finds related content to display advertisements, so it does not matter what subject your blog is about.

How much does it cost to create an adsense ad?

I'm thinking that the only way to properly advertise and get views and ad clicks on my site is to advertise on other sites through adsense. How much does this cost, and how is it charged(per ad, per click, both?) Thanks for your help!

Instead of spending money on advertising, why not you aim to get organic traffic instead? I have a blog right now that's monetizing through Adsense - but I did not spend a single cent to advertise - all I did was to create articles based on many of these long tailed keywords (keywords that contain 3 or more words). These long tailed keywords have very little competition - so if you were to optimize your article based on these long tailed keywords, chances are you'll get ranked in the top 10 listings in the major search engines, and you'll get truckloads of traffic.

I currently have a blog that's getting truckloads of traffic from Google search engines - by just having articles that target long tailed keywords.

One thing I'd like to remind you also is that people nowadays are "trainned" to skip ad portions - so in order to reap maximum benefits from Adsense, you must make sure that your ads "blend" into your text - meaning you have to have a way to actually "embed" your ads within your texts and links - so people do not actually "realise" those are actually ads - and the likelihood of them clicking on them is much, much higher. When I first started in Adsense, I didn't know all these - and I didn't even manage to make a single cent on Adsense! - I learnt alot from Joel Comm from his book called Adsense Secrets (its actually an ebook) that really taught me lots of tips and tricks on how to monetize from Adsense - including numerous tips on how to make my Adsense modules "blend" into my text - it's really good! you may want to check it out - http://www.internetprofitmachines.com/adsensesecrets

Hope you'll find this help useful. I seriously would advise you against using PPC traffic to get people to your site for the purpose of them clicking on the Adsense ads. It's really not worth the money. Instead, go for the long term, write articles based on long tail keywords and get traffic from Search Engines the organic way. Cheers! :)

You go through Adwords to pay for ads. You set up your own budget for the amount you want to spend daily and per click. You have to play with it until you pay enough to get it near the top or at least on the first page of results.

If you are planning on using adwords to get traffic to click on your adsense ads I think it is illegal so you should check the program policies.

Jono is right accept is that you can still use adwords to send traffic to your adsense sites under these conditions

-your site has to include content that has valuable information regarding the subject you advertise in google adwords

-also prevent use words such as "click here" and "visit our sponsors"...etc

However there are better way to bring traffic to your adsense sites other than spending money on google adwords which is by using Blog, squidoo, in fact using this yahoo answer is enough, just create a site about specific subject for example Golf , and go look for question regarding Golf at yahoo answer , answer them and put your link for free

I recommend you to invest time in learning how to make serious income using google adsense from expertise in this subject , I found Joel Comm is the best resource to start also he has just release his new ebook last month teaching people how to use adsense and make serious income from it the book called "Adsense Secrets 4".

also learning how to use yahoo answer is a great way to bring free traffic to your sites.

I have left below two links for your references one about yahoo answer other about Joel Comm ebook

I hope this help

The program is free, and combines pay-per-click and pay-per-impression advertising - meaning you get paid for valid clicks on the ads on your site or search results pages as well as impressions on your content pages.

What does google think of repeat visiters who regularly click Adsense ads?

Are there any consequences since they aren't the owner of the website? And does AdSense know the ip address of the clickers? This adsense business is confusing @_@

Thank you for answering though!

If you stay in the honest path, there is nothing to worry about Adsense. But if you are thinking of using somebody to regularly click on your ads, then you have all the reason to be worried.

Google, with all their PhDs, knows all the tricks publishers have to cheat the program. They will track everything -- IPs, patterns of clicks, where you actually log in to check your account, and many more that they will never disclose.

There will be visitors who will click on Google Adsense ads several times. But Google will look at the pattern to see if the clicks are geniune and comes from an interested user, or from someone merely interested in clicking for the publisher's benefits. They have to see that it is the first one. Otherwise, if they see anything suspicious, they can send you the dreaded suspicious activity email, and you have to prove to them that it was not you who clicked on.

I have been with Adsense since June 2003, and never had any problem with visitors clicking on the ads. As long as you remain honest, there is nothing to worry about

Google monitors ALL adsense clicks. They know who the abusers are and filter them. In other words, the clicks don't convert to money. This is to stop a person opening a friend's site to click ads. They know who repeat offenders are because every computer connected to the Internet has a unique IP address.

Adsense monitors all clicks

Google monitors the following,

1. If the clicks are from any intranet (your machines ip and its intranet ips)

2. If it is nearby internet cafe (your area)

3. Those clicks without any sign up with email ids

list goes ...

What are some good ideas for making money with google adsense?

I am looking for some good ideas for a the subject matter of a blog that will make substantial money for google adsense? What are the topics of the most successful blogs using google adsense?

Thanks.

Blogging about ones own interest would be much easier than choosing an odd topic. But given the target of making money with Google Adsense, I would suggest three successful topics;

1. Amazing Cars

2. Latest Technology

3. Reviews of Music & Movies

Amazing Cars - would produce mediocre traffic with average EPC between $0.20 to $0.50 - depending on your keywords.

Technology - a high profile topic - would produce low traffic but high EPC between $1.00 & &10.00 - truly it pays to focus on this one

Reviews on Movies & Music - would produce high traffic but EPC would be very low - between $0.01 to $0.10.

One Final Note: Your Adsense success even depends on many other factors - i.e. placement of Ads, traffic and keywords on blog.

How to know which blog is registered for adsense?

I have several blogs on blogger. I recently signed up for google adsense and now forgot which blog i had registerd for adsense. I tried loggin in with my account, but no such details are thre. Is thre any way to find it? Pls help me.

It does not matter.

Once you have been approved and given a publisher ID, you can use it on any number of different websites or blogs.

Regards, Zyfert

http://spyware.cybersprout.com

I use separate channels for each ad block. If you just want to monitor the page as a whole copy the URL of the page, and in channels tab click URL channels then add the URL.

It does not matter how many blogs you have..Once you generate the ad codes just place them on your blogs and they will be automatically located as your code is in each ad.

How can I earn the most using google adsense?

I am in the process of making a media website with a friend and we aren't to sure how google adsense works. The website will have videos, music, forums, and eventually a store but we want to gain profit from our hard work. How can I use google adsense to its full potential and earn a couple bucks?

The adsense FAQ section has an optimisation section to tell you the best place to put ads. What I would do is concentrate on traffic first. For the type of site I run I get around $10/1000 page views and each month I get about 150000 page views ($1500). However, I am not sure how good the payouts are for a video site.

Traffic is key at the beginning though. Just dont go clicking your own ads or you get banned ;)

Also look in to affiliate type stuff as that can be a nice money maker too.

Just a few suggestions that may help. Use ad channels to keep track of top performing ad groups. Links should be blue. Do not use a border around the ad, you want the ad to look like a pert of the page do not separate the ad.

1. Find your niche.Choose an area that you have expertise and start generating high-quality content.

2. Increase the traffic of your website. Some tips for increasing the traffic of a website can be found here.

3. Make a compromise. Ask yourself whether you are willing to compromise the layout of your website by adding google ads in it (for more discussion, visit here).

4. Get a suitable domain name. Get a domain name that is suitable for your targeted key words.

5. Do not forget SEO! Use Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques in order to increase the traffic of your website.

6. Use Keywords wisely. Use the keyword(s) you are interested in , both in the title as well as in the content of your website.

7. Create a good design for your website. Make sure that your website has a good design. Avoid common web page design mistakes.

8. First impressions count. Make sure the ad unit with the highest CTR is the first ad unit in the HTML code of your page (Source).

9. Place your ads wisely. Follow Google's recommendations as to where you should place your ads.

10. Blend your ads with the background. Blending ads with the background can improve the performance of your ads.

11. Find the ad format that work better for your website. Wider and larger ads are known to work better. Specifically Medium Rectangle, Large Rectangle and Wide Skyscraper are amongst the best performing ads.

12. Choose the type of your ads carefully. Google provides both image and text ads. However, many users complain about the low performance of image ads.

13. Customize your ads. Use Google Adsense Preview Tool to customize the google ads and compare them vs. Yahoo ads or Chitika.

14. Use channels to improve the performance. Channels are useful tools for tracking the performance of your ads. Especially, you can know which websites, webpages, ads and color scheme work better than the others.

15. Find out if you are writing in a hot area. You can use Word Tracker in order to improve your website content by using the most popular keywords for the contents of your website. You can also research online markets and find good opportunities.

16. Remove junks ads. Remove the low-performing ads from the website. They make the website more cluttered and they do not bring you any money.

17. Remove PSAs. Make sure that you remove public service ads (PSA) from your website. Read this article to see why PSAs are bad for your website and why you should remove them.

18. Learn from other users. Look at other user's experience with adsense. However, we should remember that the performance of a particular adsense scheme may highly vary from one website to another. So the best suggestion is to test various different schemes and come up with the one that is best for your needs.

19. Remove your competitors' ads. You can use Adsense Competitive Ad filter program to remove the ads of your competitors, link farms and irrelevant advertisements from your website. AdblackList has a list of made-for-adsense (MFA) and low-cost-per-click (LCPC) websites that will take away users from your website by playing almost zero dollars to you.

20. Monitor your website continuously. Find out which topic in your websites is performing better for you (in terms of adsense revenue) and then do more investment on that topic.

21. Use Section Targeting to get relevant ads. If you do not get relevant ads, use Google Adsense Section Targeting. Section targeting allows you to suggest sections of your text and HTML content that you would like Google to emphasize or downplay when matching ads to your site's content. Also read this useful article and see how you can get more relevant ads to your website.

22. Use tools. Use useful Adwords and Adsense tools that might improve the performance of your adsense account.

23. Find high-performing keywords. High-paying keywords can be found in Cwire.

24. Ask for help. Adsense Help is a community where you can post your questions about adsense, browse for answers and share adsense tips.

25. Monitor your earnings. Use SysSense in order to create an icon in your Window's system tray and monitor the activities of your adsense account. Using this tool, you can track the performance of your account without you loggining in to your account.

26. Do not lose your account! Make sure that you do not do any of the tasks mentioned in this article or you may lose your adsense account.

27. Be patient! Patience is the virtue. At many occasions, generating revenue from your website seems like an uphill battle. However, please remember that it takes a while before users come to your website. If you have good quality content, this would eventually happen and cash will pour in.

What is the best way to increase AdSense revenue?

I have a small personal blog, about my life with tinnitus and hyperacusis. I get about 30-50 visitors each day. I have AdSense ads on it, but, in the 5 days I have been using it, I have only made about $1.24. I really don't have enough money to spend on any advertising, and I have my blog listed on multiple blog directories. Any ideas on how to increase my AdSense income?

The good thing with Adsense is that it is not solely based on your traffic. You can have little traffic but if you have good paying keywords and highly responsive audience, then you can still earn good money

To increase Adsense revenue, experiment with the factors below

This is my view

1. Be visible and out there on the web and boards. This drives good traffic.

2. Post something that people are interested in

3. Make it meaningful

4. Help people out

As an example, I went to your site as a result of this post, it was interesting. I think if you help people out too, this is good too.

(You are also doing pretty well compared with my hit rate, 3months, 1800 hits, 3 clicks......!)

I've started making consistent money though Adsense. How much do others make?

So i've been running my blog for about 6 months now and i'm getting an average of 120 unique hits a day which is currently translating into $150/month in Adsense revenue. If you make money via Adsense or other web advertising, how does that compare with your results?

that is a good result actually to get that much within six month. i think you are above average. it could be 1500/month if you get 1200 unique visitor daily. maybe that could be your next target.

I have been involved with Adsense for 3 months and I am at 70.00 month so I hope to double it in 3 more months.

How much do you make with Google Adsense?

I've been considering adding Adsense to some of my websites, but I'm not really sure I feel comfortable providing Google with all the private information they are requesting. Before I go through the headache of setting it up, I'd just like to get a feel from others -- do you like Adsense? How much do you make in a month? I realize there are a lot of factors that influence the value of a website, but I'm just curious as to what people on average are experiencing.

Thanks!

No, I do not like google adsense. They will close your account due to invalid clicks from other people, and keep your money. I suggest you don't join.

I have tried several affiliate programs and Google Adsense is the only one that I have had any success with. Some keyword clicks are inexpensive but they add up.

How can I master and understand top paying keywords to make good Adsense money?

I run two websites - one ghosts/hauntings and the other horror writers - and have Adsense ads on them. However, I need to know how to understand keywords more and click-through rates in order to make more money. So are there any good Adsense experts/webmasters out there would could advise me on increading my earnings?

I don't recommend the process of chasing the keywords with Adsense and thinking that creating a site around these high paying keywords will result in high Adsense earnings.

Often, they only end up disappointed -- just like hundreds of publishers who went and created a site around the famous "M" word or "mesothelioma" -- when it was reported that Adwords advertisers were paying $110+ per click for this keyword. So websites focusing on the M keyword popped out of the Web.

And what was the comment of these Adsense publishers hoping to cash in with this high paying keyword? That they can't even get more than $1 per click for the keyword -- definitely not the $110 or even $50 per click keyword that they were hoping for.

Why? Because Google is smart and can sniff those trying to cash in on these so called high paying keywords a mile away. For one, there's smartpricing -- the big unknown in Adsense.

To succeed with Adsense, you need to have a website with the right topic, the right audience, the right traffic. It needs to offer value to visitors, otherwise you can't get decent traffic to the site.

So what's the right topic:

- topic that attracts a lot of advertisers

- advertisers are competing hard to reach this audience

- audience are responsive to ads

- audiences are looking for ways to spend money

- your knowledge and interest to create compelling content for this topic

Ghosts/horror writers are not going to earn well in Adsense because advertisers are not competing to tap this audience --> few advertisers mean cheap keywords. The audience is also not looking for ways to spend money, just to be entertained.

Compare that to a camera review site. The audience this site attracts are those who are looking to buy a camera. They read the reviews from the site, and they see the ads where the camera can be purchased.

The rule is: whenever there is money to be spent, then that's the best keyword for Adsense

Of course, having a good topic is worthless if you can't even write any thing decent about the topic.

Chances are for that particular subject the CPC and the CTR is going to be low. The old saying is follow the money. What people are currently buying is usually a good keyword.

Hi,

I'll answer this question for you, but you must first understand the relationship between adwords and adsense. The ads that pay the most for adsense are typically the keywords that cost the most on adwords.

What is Google Adwords?

Google AdWords is a quick and simple way to purchase highly targeted cost-per-click (CPC) advertising, regardless of your budget. AdWords ads are displayed along with search results on Google, as well as on search and content sites in our growing ad network, including AOL, EarthLink, HowStuffWorks, & Blogger. With more than 200 million searches on Google each day and even more searches and page views on our ad network, your Google AdWords ads reach a vast audience.

When you create a Google AdWords ad, you choose keywords for which your ad will appear and specify the maximum amount you're willing to pay for each click. You only pay when someone clicks on your ad. To save you even more money, the AdWords Discounter automatically reduces the actual CPC you pay to the lowest cost needed to maintain your ad's position on the results page.

What is Google Adsense?

Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant, text-based, un-obtrusive Google AdWordsâ„¢ ads on their website's content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your users are looking for on your site, you'll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages.

How does Google target ads to my website?

Simply put, Google provides you with AdSense HTML ad code to place on the web pages on which you want to display AdWords ads. Then, they take care of the rest by leveraging award-winning and proprietary Google search and page-ranking technologies to deliver relevant AdWords ads to those content pages.

Google goes beyond simple keyword matching to understand the context and content of web pages. Based on a sophisticated algorithm that includes such factors as keyword analysis, word frequency, font size, and the overall link structure of the web, they know what a page is about, and can precisely match Google ads to each page.

What you need to know is what keywords cost the most for the adwords program. If you know these keywords, then you can design you websites around them you maximum payouts.

With that being said, i have no idea if your website has high paying ads.

These sites listed below map out the top paying keywords.

Can I randomize adsense ads so a friend will get a cut of a websites profits?

I know how to write javacript that would randomize the pub id in our ads, but is that allowed? How can I do this? I want the page to show my ads 75 % of the time and his 25 % of the time for his help in promotion. What are my options, other than just paying him. If I write a document write command that writes the whole adsense code block, would that be OK?

Never ever tamper with the Adsense code. That is strictly against the rules.

If your code will not touch or alter in any way the Adsense code, then you can do it. But if you will change it, don't. Just use ad serving tool such as Google Ad Manager http://www.google.com/admanager

I'm fairly sure that there is a random number generator class in javascript, you could easily use that to generate different ads.

Getting Started With Adsense

A very important element in the rapid adoption of AdSense is that it has been very easy for publishers to get the ads on their site as quickly as possible.

Integrating AdSense in your website takes only a few minutes, and you can be on your way with one or more nicely integrated AdSense ads.

The first thing you need to do is navigate to http://www.google.com/adsense and either apply or log in with your existing account and password. What follows is a page presenting the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions which you must agree to in order to proceed.

You are presented with a report page which you can use to get a detailed status on how your AdSense advertising is doing. This allows you to improve your site's contents and layout to maximize your AdSense earnings.

On the top of your page you also have link to the setup section where you can generate the code that will need to be pasted on your website in order to have AdSense banners on your page.

You can use AdSense for text (the said ads), using a search box or with referrals. Your choice among these options depends on how users will navigate your site.

Finally, there is a "My Account" tab which allows you to set up details concerning your account, payment and tax information.

To add a text ad on your site, go back to the "AdSense Setup" tab and click the "AdSense for content" link. Make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser.

You can make a choice between ad units and link units. The former contain text and or images concerning a certain site for each unit, most with a detailed description, the latter only contain links to certain types.

Of course, it's a bit hard to know which type you should use so you should probably experiment with both for a while before you decide.

You can also view an example of how the unit will look to the right of your page. However, you may only use three ad units and one link unit on any given page. This is believed to be a step which Google takes for quality control.

The next step is to choose your add format and colors. You can basically select any color palette you choose with Google offering some of its own if you don't have the time or skill to create one. You can constantly view how the palette will look through the aid of an example. The one that works best in terms of appearance and revenues will vary with the look, feel and content of a website.

However, your ad formats are limited to a choice of eleven formats. There's an "Ad Formats" link which takes you to a page that lets you see all even of these in action so you can decide best which one suits your site. Sometimes the most intrusive, doesn’t work best however again, this can vary from website to website.

After you finish with customization, you can click "Continue" from the bottom of the page.

You are now presented with a section entitled "AdSense for Content". You can click anywhere in the text and that shows the JavaScript required to get AdSense running. This will automatically select the text in the box.

You can then copy it and paste it into your pages directly. If you use dynamic pages, you should paste this code within your template so as to ensure that it gets displayed on any page of your website. Some advertisers choose not to display Adsense on every page, and this is understandable. An example of this is a company that has adsense, may also have terms and condition which would inevitably provide legal resources which would probably be deemed inappropriate.

What is then left for you to do is get content on your page (provided you didn't have any already). Google AdSense crawlers will soon visit your site, making sure that the ads displayed are relevant to your site's content.

And you're all done. For a simple page this should indeed be a matter of a few minutes, which is precisely what makes AdSense the choice for so many. Although it is quick, its mass appeal also makes it the best. Through being the most popular, advertisers and publishers alike see Adsense and Adwords as their natural first choice.
